CHARITY
The Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation empowers and encourages community alliances, impacts youth leadership and strengthens family foundations through community development, entrepreneurialism, and education resulting in a healthier community.
Foresight, generosity, and an unyielding desire to help underprivileged youth in the Las Vegas, Nevada community are what prompted prizefighting icon and 11-time world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. to establish the charitable foundation that bears his name – The Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation (TFMJF).
In 2007 – the same year that he established his sports and entertainment promotional company, Mayweather Promotions – Mayweather decided to leverage his star power by founding TFMJF, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to empowering and promoting the social development and advancement of struggling adults and adolescents. The foundation is singularly focused on community health and wellness, economic growth and development, and impactful youth education.
“My desire to give is as strong as my desire to win,” the pound-for-pound king of boxing explains. “I know how important it is to help those who are less fortunate than myself. I hope if I continue to work as hard outside of the ring as I do inside of it, I can inspire others to do the same and help out in their own communities as well.”
TFMJF continues to seek new ways to advance our mission of empowering and encouraging community alliances, impacting youth leadership, and strengthening family foundations through community development, entrepreneurialism, and educational initiatives.
